Attorney Joshua P. Clayton, of the Clayton Law Firm, located in Slidell, Louisiana, has practiced law in Louisiana since 2012. From 2011 to 2012, Josh clerked for the Honorable Carl J. Barbier, United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Louisiana. Upon entering private practice in 2012, Josh was an associate with the New Orleans law firm Sher Garner Cahill Richter Klein & Hilbert, L.L.C., where he represented a diverse clientele ranging from national companies to local governments. In his five years of practice, Josh has practiced in several areas of the law, including commercial litigation, personal injury, state, local, and municipal law, products liability, construction, contractual and insurance disputes, and constitutional disputes.
Josh is admitted to practice law in the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of Louisiana, and all state, local, and municipal courts of Louisiana. He has handled legal matters in multiple courts in Louisiana and has argued before the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and the Louisiana Fourth Circuit Court of Appeal.
